Our story began with our founder, Alan Thrift. Before he was diagnosing complex HVAC systems in Orlando, Alan was serving in the United States Army. As a utility repair technician, he learned the values of discipline, precision and service to others. It was during his military service that he earned his R22 (Freon) certification from the EPA, beginning a lifelong journey in HVAC excellence.

Upon returning from active duty, Alan didn’t just enter the HVAC industry—he immersed himself in it. He spent a decade practicing his craft right here in Orlando, gaining hands-on experience in the unique challenges posed by Florida’s salty air and extreme heat. In 2008, he earned his Class B Mechanical Contractor’s License, and in 2012, No Sweat AC & Heating was officially born.

Alan’s vision was simple: Create a company where the technicians are educators, not salesmen.

Kat, the owner’s wife, is not only down to earth, but knows her stuff and I think she is the glue that holds that company together.  Kat not only went out of her way to help us and was incredibly quick to respond to all our needs. The service was top-notch, with a white glove touch, and the installers were super nice, keeping me in the loop throughout the entire process and explaining everything afterward. Was there in a short time, diagnosed the problem with the fan motor on the air handler and replaced it quickly. System was double checked after motor replacement, everything checked out good. One of the service reps, Nick, does a great job of explaining the what and why of the job being done. I have gotten bids on AC work in the past and No Sweat is not the cheapest — I definitely don’t want the cheapest work — but also  is not nearly the most expensive. I find the companies’s rates to be reasonable.
